FAQs

What training methods do you use?

We use force free, reward based training rooted in modern learning theory. That means we focus on positive reinforcement, clear communication, and trust building instead of fear or punishment.

Is your training right for beginners?

Yes! Our classes are designed to be welcoming and beginner-friendly. Whether this is your first dog or you just want a supportive refresher, you’re in the right place.

What classes do you offer?

We currently offer:

  • Howdy Hounds — foundational skills and confidence-building

  • Wrecking Chew — canine fitness, strength, and body awareness

  • Behavioral Consultations — one-on-one support for more specific behavior needs

You can explore full class details on the Classes page.

What should I bring to class?

Please bring:

  • A standard leash (4–6 feet)

  • A flat collar, martingale, or harness

  • High-value treats your dog loves

  • Water for you and your dog

  • Poop bags

We’ll handle the rest!

Can reactive, shy, or nervous dogs join group classes?

It depends! Some dogs thrive in group settings, while others do best with private support first. If you’re unsure, reach out — we’re happy to help you decide the best fit.Is your training right for beginners?

Do you work with puppies?

Yes! Puppies are welcome once cleared by a veterinarian and up to date on age-appropriate vaccines. Early positive experiences are incredibly valuable.

What if my dog is older?

That’s great too! Dogs of all ages can learn and benefit from training, enrichment, and fitness. Wrecking Chew, in particular, is adaptable for senior dogs.

Where are classes held?

Classes are held outdoors at local parks around Bryan/College Station, including Edgewater Park, and Tanglewood Park. Exact locations are listed on each class page.

What happens if the weather is bad?

Safety comes first. If weather conditions are unsafe, classes may be delayed, relocated, or rescheduled. We’ll notify you as soon as possible by text or email.

Do you offer refunds?

Refunds are available up to 7 days before a course begins. Once a class has started, purchases are non-refundable. Please see our Policies page for full details.

What equipment is not allowed?

We do not allow prong collars, choke chains, e-collars, or retractable leashes in class. Our training is force-free, and we prioritize safety and comfort for all dogs.
