Policies

Welcome to Calliope’s Crew! To keep classes safe, supportive, and fun for everyone, we ask all clients to follow the policies below. These help us create a smooth experience for all humans and pups in our community.

  • Cancellations & Rescheduling

    • Please cancel or reschedule at least 24 hours in advance so we can adjust class plans and waitlists.

    • Cancellations under 24 hours may not be eligible for a refund.

    Missed Classes

    • Missed group classes cannot be refunded, but you’ll receive class notes and homework to keep you on track.

    • Private behavioral consultations may be rescheduled with proper notice.

  • Since classes are held outdoors, safety comes first.

    • Classes may be delayed, moved, or rescheduled due to extreme heat, storms, lightning, or other unsafe conditions.

    • You will be notified by text and/or email as soon as a decision is made.

  • Vaccination Requirements

    • Dogs must be up to date on age-appropriate vaccines (including DHPP and Rabies for dogs old enough).

    • Puppies must be cleared by a veterinarian to participate in group settings.

    Health

    • If your dog is coughing, vomiting, or showing signs of illness, please keep them home for everyone’s safety.

    Behavior Expectations

    • Reactive dogs are welcome in private sessions, but not always appropriate for group classes. If unsure, reach out—we can help guide you to the best fit.

    • Any dog who poses a safety risk to themselves or others may be asked to switch to private training.

  • To keep training safe and consistent:

    • Allowed: flat collars, martingales, harnesses, and standard leashes.

    • Not Allowed: prong collars, choke chains, e-collars, or retractable leashes.

    We use force-free, reward-based methods, so we avoid tools that rely on fear or discomfort.

    • Please arrive a few minutes early so your dog can get to know the area and warm up.

    • Children are welcome but must be supervised at all times.

    • Be respectful of others’ space—some dogs need extra room to feel comfortable.

    • Refunds are available up to 7 days before the start of a course.

    • Once a class has begun, purchases are non-refundable.

    • You may transfer your spot to another dog/handler pair only with prior approval.

  • We love celebrating your pups!

    • Photos or videos taken during class may be used on our website or social media.

    • If you prefer not to be featured, just let us know—we’re happy to accommodate.

  • If you ever have questions, concerns, or need support between classes, reach out! We’re here to help you and your dog succeed with confidence and kindness.
