Every Howdy Hounds class follows a calm, predictable structure to help dogs feel safe, confident, and ready to learn. Each session includes:
Warm-Up Walk:
A gentle, guided walk around the space to help dogs settle, explore, and adjust to the environment.Relationship-Strengthening Exercise:
A quick game or activity designed to build connection and communication between handler and dog (e.g., check-ins, hand-targeting, treat & retreat).Weekly Focus Skills:
A series of short, hands-on exercises that build the core skill of the week—such as engagement, leash walking, recall foundations, or settling on a mat.Mid-Class Decompression Walk:
A reset break where dogs can decompress, sniff, move freely on a leash, and return to a calm state before continuing.Second Skill Block:
Additional practice, pattern games, or confidence-building activities that reinforce the week’s focus and help dogs generalize the skills.Q&A + Homework Overview:
Time for questions, individualized guidance, and a simple homework plan to carry the week’s progress forward at home.

Pricing
Training should be accessible, effective, and worth every treat in your pocket. The full 6-week course is $150, with optional package upgrades available if you’re looking to get even more value and support. Whether you choose the standard course or bundle up for a bigger bang for your buck, you and your pup will walk away with stronger skills—and an even stronger bond.
Location
To make training accessible for every dog–handler team, classes are offered at multiple convenient parks across BCS: Aggie Park, Edgewater Park, and Tanglewood Park.
Each course will stay at the same location, so please double-check the listed park before signing up. Locations may be added or removed based on community demand to keep classes convenient and accessible for everyone. No matter which spot you choose, you’ll find a welcoming space to learn, grow, and connect with your pup.
Upcoming Classes
We are currently accepting dogs for our next round of Howdy Hounds starting February 2nd. It will be on Mondays at 5PM until graduation on March 9th.
We are also accepting dogs for Howdy Hounds on Tuesdays afternoons @ 4:00 in Tanglewood Park starting February 3rd running until March 10th.

Puppies must be at least 10 weeks old with age-appropriate vaccines. All ages welcome for beginners.

Dog to dog interaction will be controlled, optional, and at a pace that keeps every comfortable and confident. The safety and comfort of our crew always comes first.
